Lightning McQueen, the hotshot rookie race car, is back in the Cars 2 DVD. Now a star, he is heading off on an international adventure with Mater, the good old tow truck friend with the big heart and loveable laugh. The first ever World Grand Prix sees an all-car cast coming together in a desperate dash across the planet to secure the official title of the world’s fastest car.
John Lasseter, the director of the Cars 2 DVD, has used his vivid imagination to create the thrilling storyline. What began as a series of thoughts from his travels across the globe has ended up in the studios of Pixar Animations.
Lasseter said of the sequel: ""I kept looking out thinking, ‘What would Mater do in this situation, you know?’ I could imagine him driving around on the wrong side of the road in the UK, going around in big, giant travelling circles in Paris, on the autobahn in Germany, dealing with motor scooters in Italy, trying to figure out road signs in Japan."" Now you can see what Mater gets up to in the Cars 2 DVD.
If you cannot wait for the Cars 2 DVD then race down to the cinema later this year and join McQueen and Mater on their thrilling travels into the world of international espionage, detours and potholes in stunning Disney 3D, IMAX 3D or standard film format.
